Alex Lorimer MEng, PEng Associate, Senior Acoustical Engineer

Alex is fully adept and knowledgeable about how to best address and mitigate the noise, vibration and acoustical challenges commonly associated with large, complex and often mixed-use institutional, academic and commercial developments such as University Campuses, Healthcare Centres, Office/Condo Towers, and Sports & Leisure Complexes.

Projects highlights include the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, University of Toronto’s state-of-the-art hub for sport and exercise research, sport medicine, training and competition; The Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, an interdisciplinary health science facility in Alberta; and Hotel X, a 26-storey boutique luxury hotel in Toronto that fully integrates a sports, entertainment and business conference complex

Furthermore, Alex has consulted on numerous hi-rise commercial and residential towers where he has performed varied assessments and complaints investigations, trouble-shooting building services noise and acoustical privacy challenges, and engineering effective mitigation options for clients. Alex has applied this vast problem-solving experience and know how to his acoustical consulting lead work on many landmark new luxury condominium and commercial offices projects. They include The Aura Condominiums in Toronto (Canada’s tallest residential-only building) and The Eau Claire Tower in Calgary, Alberta
